Familiar foes will line up on the ice tomorrow for game 1 of the Sask Valley Hockey League final series.

The Eston Ramblers and the Kyle Elks are back in the season finale after the two clubs battled in last year's championship. The Ramblers would eventually have their name engraved on the side of the trophy after defeating the Elks in 4 games.

During the 2017-2018 regular season, the pair finished in 1st (Kyle) and 2nd (Eston) in the league standings. But they were not separated by a large amount of points; only 3 as a matter of fact.

So, it's almost fitting that these two reunite in the league final to settle the score once and for all.

Kyle brushed their way past the Elrose Aces in the first round, sweeping them in three games, followed by a 2nd sweep in the semifinals of the Delisle Bruins.

As for Eston, they had to grind their way through the 1st round after the Kenaston Blizzards took the series to five games. The second round wrapped up quickly, though. The Ramblers would sweep the Central Butte Flyers to have a chance at defending their title.

Fans will have to watch out for a number of players from either side who will be difference makers in this series.

The Ramblers have a strong back end led by 1st Team All-Star goaltender Tyrell King, Top Defenceman Award recipient Dustin Stevenson and defender Jesse Duchscherer, who leads the team in goals, assists and points.

Kyle will look to counter with a trio of offensive weapons on their side of the ice. SVHL top goal scorer Jesse Shynkaruk and Jordan Wittman will be looked upon to help provide creative attacks, especially during clutch moments in close games.

Don't look past starting netminder Matt Richard either, who currently holds a GAA of 1.50 in the playoffs.

The series begins tomorrow night at the Kyle Sports Centre with puck drop at 8:00 PM.
