The Kindersley Klippers rallied in the second half of the game to score three unanswered goals in a 4-2 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves last night at the Mel Hegland Uniplex in La Ronge.
Kyle Bosch started things for the Klippers in the first period during a breakout into the Ice Wolves zone. With a couple teammates to his left, Bosch sniped the puck from the right wing past Daniel Davidson to give Kindersley the game's opening tally.
La Ronge came to life in the second period after the Klippers fell into penalty trouble. Jake Gudjonson and Steve Perrault would put the Ice Wolves on the board and give La Ronge their first lead of the game at 2-1 near the halfway point of the game.
The deficit was eliminated near the end of the second after a point shot was tipped in by Cam Shorrock for his 7th of the year. At the end of two, the Klippers and Ice Wolves were tied at 2 goals a piece.
After outshooting La Ronge throughout the game, the Klippers finally turned up the heat in the third. A few minutes into the period, Austin Nault banged home his team-leading 9th goal to give the lead back to the visitors at 3-2.
The icing on the cake came shortly after from Damon McKenzie to put Kindersley up 4-2 and solidify their fourth win in a row.
Kindersley outshot La Ronge 54-27 in a dominating performance to begin their three road games in three nights. Tonight, the Klippers are in Wilcox for their fifth meeting of the season with the Notre Dame Hounds. The Klippers lead the season series 3-1 and have the opportunity to jump into 5th place in the league standings with a win tonight.
