High School Basketball is well into the season with teams beginning exhibition games, as well as out-of-town tournaments.

The Biggar Blazers Junior Boys basketball team has gotten off to a perfect start to the 2017-2018 season with seven wins and not a single loss. Some of these wins have come through exhibition games, but others came when they held their home tournament and won the whole things.

There is no official league that the Blazers are playing in for Junior Basketball, but they still have a busy schedule with games against teams in close proximity and traveling to tournaments in the area.

Will Johnson, head coach of the Junior Boys team, talked about some of the upcoming tournaments that the team is really looking forward to in the new year.

"We have another tournament scheduled in Unity from January 19th-20th and expect to face some tough competition." Johnson said.

The tournaments are always something to look forward to with something on the line compared to the exhibition games, but the Blazers come out to play no matter what type of game it is. The team will have one more exhibition game this upcoming Thursday and will take a break over the Christmas holidays.
