West central high school senior football teams are roughly half-way through the 2019 season, with just six games left for 1A and 12 left for the 2A division.

In 1A 6-man football, Kerrobert has been the team to beat, as they currently sit undefeated with three wins and no losses on their record. Last week, they beat out the number two team in the division, the Eaton Spartans, with a final score of 97 to 50. To date, the Kerrobert Sr. Rebels have put up 238 points on the scoreboard so far this season.

The Eaton Spartans are the comeback kids of the season, sitting second in the division with two wins and one loss and posting 174 points to date. This, after posting just 190 points last year, finishing the 2018 season in last place in the division.

Plenty and Macklin round out the 1A division and will be looking to add a few more wins to their season as Plenty currently sits with one win and two losses thus far. Additionally, Macklin is still looking for their first win of the season with three games under their belt.

In 2A 6-man senior football, three teams are currently sitting undefeated as 12 games remain on the schedule.

Some teams have hit the field for three games this season, while some teams have only played two games so far. However, Unity is holding down the number one spot with three wins and no losses and Rosetown and Kindersley are close behind, also sitting undefeated with two wins each to their name.

The Kindersley team is proving they are playing to win, with posting 142 points, which is the most between all teams so far this season. Clavet who is sitting in fourth place is second in points registered with 130 on the scoreboard, however, not all their efforts turned into wins with their record showing one win and two losses.

Biggar has split their two games they’ve played so far this season, sitting with one win and one loss, they will look to overtake Clavet in the standings this week.

Outlook and Davidson are both looking to gain momentum and put their practice into play as they are both still looking to register their first win of the season during this week’s match-ups.

Delisle, who recently switched to 9-man football, is currently sitting second in their division with one win and one loss. The Rebels are tied with Humboldt in the standings and both teams are trailing Martensville who is currently undefeated this season. North Battleford John Paul II team, hasn’t had the start they would have liked and they too, are searching for their first win of the season this week.
