The Kindersley Klippers have made a couple of deals to start things off in December.
The first trade, with the Nipawin Hawks, saw the Klippers acquire ‘97 Forward Keilan Olson and ‘99 Forward Bryson Cecconi in exchange for ‘98 Forward Christian Bosa, a 2019 3rd round pick and future considerations. In Bryson Cecconi the Klippers acquire more size to their forward group, Cecconi has 4 pts in 10 games this season. In Keilan Olson the Klippers add a forward who will bring speed and scoring to the line-up with 24 points in 24 games this season (which will make him the Klippers current leading scorer). Christian Bosa had 1 point in 7 games played for the Klippers this year.
The second trade featured Klippers veteran Jordan funk being sent to the Flin Flon Bombers for a Player Development Fee and a 2019 6th round pick. Funk had 13 points for the Klippers this season and 31 in the 2016-17 campaign.
The Klippers are on the road this week with games against Notre Dame and Weyburn and are back at home December 12th against Humboldt
The Klippers also took the time to honour Klipper alumni Derek Dorsett this past week who retired from the NHL this past week due to injury.
