Despite the Kindersley Klippers losing out of the SJHL Playoffs, we are still keeping an eye on a few local players.
The Klippers were shut down by the Melfort Mustangs, who defeated them 4 - 1 in Round 2 of the SJHL Finals.
The Mustangs advance to Round 3, with Dodsland's Kenzie Arnold on the ice.
Arnold is in his fourth year of the SJHL, playing his first three with the Nipawin Hawks. He then moved to the Melfort Mustangs this year.
During the regular season, the centre player earned 32 points over 42 games, including 12 goals and 20 assists. So far this post season, he has played 5 games with 1 assist counted in game 2 against the Klippers.
The Mustangs will face the Estevan Bruins in a best of 7, with the winner advancing to the final round of league playoffs.
Also donning an SJHL jersey this year, is Casey McDonald of Plenty. McDonald is in his second year with the Yorkton Terriers.
The left forward played a part in the regular season, earning 3 points across 7 games, including 1 goal and 2 assists.
So far in the postseason, McDonald has earned just 1 point in 9 games. He had assisted in a goal in the fourth game against the Nipawin Hawks during the second round of playoffs.
The Yorkton Terriers will be facing the North Battleford Stars in a best of 7 series, with the winner advancing to the league finals.
