After several weeks of regular season games and practices, the Fertile Valley Minor Baseball League has officially started their playoff schedule.

The league began in the first week of May, and will wrap up in the middle of next week, just as the same time school will be dismissed for the players.

In the Rally Cap Division, the team from Elrose and Kindersley 2 will battle it out in a one game showdown for the championship. Both teams were among the top in league play, and it should set up an excellent battle. The game will be played Wednesday June 21st in Kindersley.

The Mosquito Division and Peewee Division have a more unique playoff format. The semi-finals and finals are two-game total point series, which allows each team one home game and one game on the road.

In Mosquito, Semi-Final Series 1 is between Elrose and Eston 1. These two teams planned on having Game 1 of the two-game total point on Tuesday evening, but mother nature had different ideas. Game 1 will be scheduled for Thursday night, with Game 2 will played on Friday night. In the Semi-Final Series 2, the team from Rosetown is taking on Kindersley 3. Just like the other semi-final, Game 1 was rained out and made up to play the two remaining games on Thursday and Friday evenings.

The Peewee division Semi-Finals are currently both one game into each series. Semi-Final 1 is between Eston and Rosetown, with Eston leading the series 1-0 with a 14-9 victory on Monday night. Game 2 of the series shifts back to Rosetown, where the team from Rosetown will need to get a victory of 6 runs or more in order to advance. Semi-Final 2 is between two Kindersley teams of Kindersley 2 and Kindersley 3.

The Mosquito Division Championship Games are set for Tuesday June 20th and Thursday June 22nd, while the Peewee Division Championship Games are scheduled for Monday June 19th and Wednesday June 21st.
