Three wrestlers from Rosetown Central High School are competing at provincials this weekend.

Sisters Frankie and Allie Gawryluik, along with Borna Ivancev, are representing their school and community at the championships today and tomorrow. The two-day tournament is taking place at Campbell Collegiate in Regina.

The trio were able to qualify for the championship after their performances at last weekend's regionals. Frankie kept her impressive season rolling into the event as she managed to capture the gold medal in the 68kg female weight class. Her younger sister, Allie, was nearly perfect as well, placing second in the 73kg female weight class.

Another special accomplishment the girls were able to achieve was an award their school has never won in its history. Frankie and Allie also won the Girls 2A Team Title for most points, which is the first wrestling team award ever for RCHS.

On the male side of the tournament, Borna made it to the final of the 73kg male weight class where he won the silver medal.

This weekend, the wrestlers will be gunning for the chance to battle at the U17/U19 Canadian Championships which take place April 5-7 in Fredricton, New Brunswick.
