Over the weekend the Rosetown Jr. Basketball team headed off to Outlook for what was not only their very first game, but tournament of the season. The team had only been practicing together for three weeks before the big weekend and much to their surprise walked away winning the whole tournament.

One of the teams head coaches, Jeremy Bides said he couldn't be prouder of the team and all their hard work. "Being a coach for the first time and having a group of kids that listen and respect myself and Hazel (another coach) as much as they do is amazing." He also added that the team deserved to win with the amount of effort they have put in, in such a such a short amount of time.

Since the tournament the team has been invited to compete at a tournament in Biggar February 2. After that Rosetown will also be the host of the sectionals on February 6 at the Rosetown Central High School. If the Jr. team wins February 6 they will be off to districts.
