Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires defenseman Eric Robbie is making the jump to the Junior A level for his grade 12 season.

The 2003-born blueliner was announced as having signed with the SJHL's Nipawin Hawks on Saturday.

The Rosetown product produced three goals and 18 points in 48 combined regular-season and playoff games over the 2019-20 season in Swift Current.

Robbie came to the Legionnaires after spending his first year at the U18 AAA level with the Battlefords Stars in 2018-19.

The sturdy 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman will be joining a Hawks team that is coming off yet another playoff appearance.

Nipawin recorded a 30-24-3-1 mark in the regular-season. Despite finishing in fourth place in the competitive Sherwood Division, the Hawks still snuck in as the eighth-and-final seed.

Prior to the pandemic-cancelled playoffs, the Hawks were down 3-1 in their best-of-seven first-round series with the league-best Battlefords Stars.

Robbie was drafted 12th overall by Nipawin in the first round of the 2018 SJHL Draft.
