The Rosetown Redwings begin their season this weekend in the Sask Valley Hockey League. The Redwings are set to return to the league after a two year hiatus and are part of an 11 team league this season. The Redwings will have 19 out of 25 players on the roster that have previous experience with the AAA or Sask Valley Redwings of the past.

There are 10 holdovers from the AAA Redwings including Jared Jagow, Justin Fox, Kyle Ireland, and Jordie Johnston and Zach Douglas. The team will have 4 sets of brothers including Dallan and Zach Walker, Tyler and Spencer Gilchrist, Joel and Boyd Kampden, and Jordie and Wilson Johnston.

Newcomers include Kendall McFaull who played at the University of Saskatchewan and played last season for the Belfast Giants of the Elite Ice Hockey League in the United Kingdom. Also Connor Cox, who played at the University of Saskatchewan as well with McFaull, goaltender Justin Gauthier who played with the Delisle Chiefs of the PJHL last season. And forwards Dustin MacNab and Logan Regier. MacNab works in the Rosetown area and played the last few years in the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League for the Glaslyn North Stars as well as playing baseball for the Rosetown Angels the past two summers.
