Nine softball players from the west central region will be travelling to Oklahoma, U.S.A. at the end of the month.

The players have earned the opportunity after participating in Softball Saskatchewan's 2018/2019 High Performance Program, which stacks the best up and coming softball players in the province together for training and testing over the winter months.

Once results have been recorded and players have had a chance to go through the skill development program, coaches give their picks for which players should be chosen to play on their final teams. Kerrobert, Kindersley, Macklin, Unity and Biggar are the west central communities being represented on three of the five finals teams, ranging from under 14 to under 19 players.

U14 North Team

  • Blair Heck - Macklin
  • Hayden Seversen - Kerrobert

U16 North Team

  • Siena Ellis - Biggar
  • Kalin Harrabek - Biggar
  • Sydney Leschinski - Biggar
  • Leah Weinkauf - Macklin
  • Jenna Wildeman - Unity

U19 Team

  • Brittany Allen - Kindersley
  • Katherine Brewer - Kindersley

The final teams from the Softball Saskatchewan High Performance Program will be taking part in a year-end competition down in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma before they begin prepping for summer ball.

The event will take place from March 27 to 31.
