Another road game, another win for the Senior Klippers.
Last night in Unity, the Klippers outshot and outscored the Miners to win 8-5 at the Unity Community Centre. Kindersley (4-0-0-0) keeps their undefeated record in tact after the victory; they are now tied for the league lead with the Wilkie Outlaws. Meanwhile the Miners drop to 1-3-0-0 on the year.
John Calkins netted a hat trick in the win with Kindersley's top line sharp once again in this contest. Kyle Donaldson had himself another 2-goal game while Troy Boisjoli, Brody Ryberg and Jesse Ismond all found the back of the net in the win.
Luke Sproule made 22 saves to earn his 4th win while Dax Desmarais took the loss in his second start this season.
Jake MacMillan scored twice for the Miners including a shorthanded breakaway goal in the first period. MacMillan's linemates Kristian St. Onge and Reed Delainey each potted a goal while Dawson Bertoia scored the team's 4th marker.
After starting their schedule with 4 straight road games, the Klippers will finally get to play their home opener this upcoming Saturday. Fitting that they'll face the Biggar Nationals after they hosted the Senior Klippers for their home opener earlier this month.
A pre-game ceremony is planned for this weekend's Klippers home opener as the organization will be retiring jersey numbers and introducing the 2018-2019 roster to home fans for the first time.
The game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. on November 24th from the Co-op Arena at West Central Events Centre.
