Sutherland and his rink were also present at last year's Junior Provincials, where they had a 0 - 5 record. Sutherland said they're hoping to improve on that this year, "We're hoping to win a game, and hopefully make it the playoff round."

Team Sutherland will have a spiel this upcoming weekend in North Battleford.

The team will be in North Battleford once again on December 14th and 15th for the Canada Winter Game Tryouts. After winning silver at the Provincial Winter Games in February 2018, the team was eligible to move on to the play-downs this month. If they win, they will represent the province at the Canada Winter Games.

Sutherland said both tournaments should be a great way to get some practice in before provincials, "We'll use those two to prepare for junior provincials and hopefully, we'll be playing our best."
