A few male bantam hockey players from west central Saskatchewan will be in Saskatoon among some of the best players at their level.

Six bantam hockey players from the region will be participating in this weekend's SaskFirst Male Bantam Top 80 Tournament. Players were chosen based on their play this season and their performances during the Top 160 event held in Regina over the holidays.

Players selected for the tournament are 2004-born athletes who will soon begin preparing for upcoming junior hockey drafts in the spring.

The following west central players will be participating at the event.

  • F Jhett Larson (Delisle) – 6-9-15 in 22 games with Notre Dame Hounds Bantam AAA; 2-3-5 in 6 games with Notre Dame Hounds Midget AAA
  • D Ethan Hilbig (Kindersley) – 6-16-22 in 26 games with West Central Wheat Kings Bantam AA
  • F Jaydon Jessiman (Lucky Lake) – 8-5-13 in 20 games with Notre Dame Hounds Bantam AAA
  • F Jakin Lawrence (Rosetown) – 10-16-26 in 26 games with West Central Wheat Kings Bantam AA
  • F Kayden Ostrom (Rosetown) - 10-13-23 in 26 games with West Central Wheat Kings Bantam AA
  • F Colbey Frocklage (Unity) - 5-4-9 in 26 games with West Central Wheat Kings Bantam AA

 

The Top 80 event runs from Friday to Sunday in Saskatoon.
