The Senior District Play-downs were held in Kindersley this past weekend to determine several teams that would have the chance to compete at Regionals.

Games began on Friday morning with teams competing in a round robin format, and continuing on with playoff games on Saturday. Championship games were played near the end of the afternoon on Saturday between the last two remaining teams in each division.

The Boys District Champions went to Team Cey out of Kindersley Composite School after defeating Team McPhail of Dinsmore Composite School in the Championship Game. Both Team Cey and Team McPhail will advance to Regionals in Moose Jaw, SK.

The Girls District Championship Game was between Team Gilmour of Kindersley Composite School and Team Fraser of LCBI Outlook. Team Gilmour came out on top as Champions, although both teams will advance to Regionals.

It was an all-out Rosetown Championship Game in the Mixed District Championship when Team Sutherland edged out Team Olivier in a close match. Both teams have the privilege of attending the Regional tournament as well.
