There was a lot of traffic at the West Central Events Centre in Kindersley over the weekend. Kindersley Minor Hockey Weekend took place from Friday to Sunday, senior hockey games were played at the Co-op Arena with a calcutta shootout, and the curling rink was quite the busy spot too.

That's because it was the venue for the 57th Annual Oilmen's Curling Bonspiel at the Kindersley Curling Club. Members from the oil community in Kindersley and other parts of the province came down for the organization's winter sporting event.

At the end of the event, there were eight finalists. Here are the winning teams led by their skips from the bonspiel:

A event: Clark Johnston of Shamrock Training def. Custom Truck Sales from Saskatoon.

B event: Troy Ching of TKC Trucking def. Gary Becker of Longhorn Oil and Gas

C event: Jamie Holland of J & H Rentals def. Curtis Sackville of C2K Contracting

D event: Ken Pritchard of Tarnis Electric def. Eric Conway of Bo-Way Electric

The next Oilmen's sporting event will be their golf tournament coming up at the end of May, the same weekend as the Kindersley Indoor Rodeo.
