At approximately 1:10 a.m. on Saturday June 17, 2017, Warman/Delisle RCMP responded to a call on the #7 highway 2km East of Vanscoy of a collision between an SUV and a female pedestrian.

The pedestrian died as a result of the collision.

An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene where the highway was shut down and traffic rerouted for a period of time during investigation. The highway has since been reopened.

The matter is still under investigation.
