As the temperatures start to drop and the hours of daylight dwindle, the Kindersley Tourism Booth is getting ready to close it’s doors for another year.

Sage Barclay-Rosher and Madison Olson were the faces that visitors were greeted by as they went to explore the history of Kindersley, as well what the community has to offer for locals and travelers alike.

The duo said it was a great experience and had a lot of fun meeting people from all around the world.

“It was really fun, I liked to see a lot of different people come through the museum and share with them what Kindersley has to offer. We met lots of people who were passing through Kindersley and from places you may not think of, like Germany,” shared Sage.

This was both Sage and Madison’s first year working the booth and said the turn out was great with July proving to be by far the busiest month, stating the $2 ice cream scoops may have helped encourage visitors to the centre.

“We had our candy jar and were serving ice cream and had a lot of people coming out to get a scoop, especially on the hot days,” said Madison.

They said a lot of visitors were interested in the Brock Train Station among the other attractions at the museum.

In addition to the meet-and-greets with the public, Sage and Madison said it was a lot of fun to work the booth together and although they knew each other previously, they have now formed a friendship thanks to the time spent working at the booth.

The Kindersley Tourism Booth’s last day open will be August 29 and Sage and Madison said they have received numerous rave reviews from tourists and encourage anyone to come out in the final days, especially if they have not visited the museum before.
