Even after double and triple checking his ticket, Theodore Brown could not believe he had purchased a winning lottery ticket.

Brown won $119,327.70 on the August 29 draw. “I had a few tickets to check,” he said in a statement released by Sask Lotteries. “When I came across this one, I had to take a minute and scan the ticket again... It took a little while for my eyes to focus on the numbers – I couldn’t believe what I was seeing!”

He said he plans to pay off some bills and put money into savings.

The lucky ticket was purchased at a very lucky convenience store in Kindersley. Midtown Foods has sold at least seven winning lotto tickets in the past six years. The owner of Midtown Foods previously stated he believes there was an uptick in lottery ticket sales after the last winning ticket was announced.
