Eston town council is currently once again short a member, as Kirk Cumiskey has resigned from his position as a councillor.

Cumiskey was in his fourth term of serving on council after being elected for the first time in 2006.

The former councillor chose to step down from the position he held for over a dozen consecutive years for personal reasons.

Cumiskey has been a part of Eston's emergency measures organization and has also served on the community's fire committee and health committee.

Shari Collinge and Bob Mullock are the only remaining councillors who were originally elected by acclamation for this term in the municipal election in September of 2016.

The Town is accepting nominations for the seat on council until May 24th.
