The Eston Riverside Regional Park opened their swimming pool this past week and the golf course has been open since allowed to do so on May 15.

Lori Poulter talked about how it has been with the new COVID-19 safety precautions in order for the pool and the golf course as well.

"It's a learning curve for everybody, with no shotgun starts in golf, all the rules that come into the clubhouse, it's all new to us, and we may not like it, but it is what it is," Poulter said.

As for the swimming pool, it opened on Sunday June 28 with safety precautions in order, and should be a busy spot for Eston Riverside campers this summer.

"It is going as good as it can be with COVID rules and conditions, everything is different, but we're just happy it's open," Poulter says.

The Eston Riverside Regional Park's outdoor pool is one of many in the west central region who have reopened to the public, others include the Leader Swimming Pool, the Luseland Swimming Pool, and the Swimming Pool in the Town of Outlook as well.

Indoor pools are allowed to reopen on July 6, and it is expected that the Kindersley Aquatic Centre will be opening sometime this summer, but not on July 6, as staff will need time to get the pool ready for reopening its doors to the public once again.
