Economic Development Week was announced to take place from May 4 to 9, 2020. The support of local businesses is more important now than ever, and the importance of that along with economic developers is vital to the economic well-being and quality of life for their communities. Some things community and economic developers can do is attract and retain high-quality jobs, develop vibrant communities, and create, retain, and expand businesses that facilitate growth. More outcomes could see enhanced wealth, a stable tax base, and the improvement of quality of life in their regions. The Town of Kindersley encourages residents to shop local.

Council would like to join Volunteer Canada in shining the spotlight on those who continue volunteering to ensure essential services, to assist those in need in our community, and those who are obeying provincial health directives by staying home to protect themselves and their communities. The collective result of these “everyday heroes” efforts is to make the community a great place to live.

Finally, Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed April 28th in the Town of Kindersley to be recognized as A Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace.
