A local photographer has been making the most of her time during the COVID-19 pandemic by taking pictures of people on their front steps in the west central area. Janine Smith runs her own photography company and says things are slow right now and this was a good way to keep people happy during these trying times.

" It's nice to have a creative outlet like that, as long as proper social distancing practices are in place then everything works out fine and it's good, and it's just nice to make people happy," Smith says.

She says she got the idea from social media outlets and everything I read online just made it look like people enjoyed getting their pictures taken and just would like to have a reason to get up and go outside, and get a nice picture in return, so I thought that would be a nice to do that for the community.

Smith says she will be in Rosetown for more front step pictures this upcoming weekend and any family who wants to get pictures can go to her advertisement on Facebook and get a hold of me.
