After not having a Kinsmen or Kinette club in Kindersley for nearly ten years, some local residents have decided that it`s time to bring one back.

Organizer Danita Olafson said, ``After talking with others in the community the consensuses was that there was defiantly enough interest and a need to try and get a new Kinsmen and Kinette Chapter back up in Kindersley."

The organizers for the Kindersley group have obtained a sponsor, the Rosetown Kinsmen, which is the first step into opening their own chapter and are just in the process of filing out and submitting all the necessary paper work. After the paper work is ready they will send send it off to Kin Canada and wait for approval.

Olafson said, "Even though we haven't been approved just yet, the group still meets the first Thursday of every month at the curling rink lounge and if it's something that people think they might be interested in to just stop in."

There are currently 30 local residents who are looking to be a part of the new chapter once they receive approval.
