The citizens of Outlook couldn't have asked for a better day of weather that was spent outside enjoying all sorts of activities relating to Christmas.

Children got a chance to meet Santa Clause at the Outlook Legion from 12:00-pm - 4:00pm, where they made time for a quick picture and a chance to share their wish-lists to Santa. Sleigh rides ran all afternoon as well as parents and children spent the afternoon looking up at the clear blue skies, and enjoying some hot chocolate and snacks.

Children also got a chance to watch a movie during the afternoon before or after meeting Santa, build some crafts and take part of a town-wide scavenger hunt. The events were family-friendly and made for a terrific afternoon.

After all of the activities were finished, everyone gathered at the Outlook Museum to help light up the town Christmas tree. The Community Choir got a chance to perform in front of a big crowd when the tree was being lightened up.

Sharon Bruce, organizer of the event, talked about what makes this day special to the community.

"I think it just helps the entire community get involved, and makes for a happy atmosphere when all of the children are enjoying themselves."

There was some funds raised from the hot chocolate and other areas throughout the full day of events. Bruce mentioned that all funds would be going towards the Outlook Food Bank as Christmas is approaching, as well as the Outlook Museum to help pay for certain needs of the museum.
