Wednesday evening, February 6, the Prairie Women On Snowmobiles wrapped up day 4 of their 6 day journey in Rosetown. The women have been traveling across Saskatchewan to raise awareness for breast cancer. The group gathered at The Highway Host for supper and to share why they do what they do.

After the presentation, the Prairie Women intermingled with those who came out in support of their cause, sharing their own personal stories and memories they have made since being apart of the organization.

Kelly Kim Rea, President of the group said, "Her main goal is to make sure that people are screening themselves and their partners for breast cancer. It's not gender specific and early detection is key."

This is PWOS 19th year running since the group was formed by two friends, one a breast cancer survivor, who asked her friend to travel across Saskatchewan to raise funds for cancer research.

Now each year the mission consists of 10 volunteer snowmobilers, traveling across the province, through many towns and cities, covering approximately 1400KM.

The Prairie Women still had two more days left of their trip departing Rosetown Thursday morning to venture on to Delisle, Biggar, Asquith, and Martensville before the last leg of their trip Friday which will end in Prince Albert.
