In the Rosetown RCMP Report from May 7-14, a surprising driver was behind damage to an Elrose business, Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of child pornography, as well as a call of sexual assault.

Between May 7 and May 14, 2020, Rosetown RCMP also dealt with one (1) 911 mis-dial, and issued 63 Traffic Safety Act charges.

On the evening of May 7th, Rosetown RCMP were dispatched to a collision where a vehicle had collided with a business in Elrose, causing extensive damage to the building. The driver of the vehicle was a 14 year old youth. Charges of mischief and drive while under 16 years of age were issued. Rosetown RCMP were also called to a collision a few days later, where a vehicle had drove into the front of a Rosetown business, causing extensive damage to the building. The driver was a 36 year old individual with a class 7 licence. Discretion was used and no charges were issued.

The next day around noon, the CTSS division of the RCMP stopped a vehicle due the registration being
expired. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. A 48 year old male from Saskatoon, Sk was charged with Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired and over 80mg% along with a 3 tickets under the Traffic Safety Act; operate an unregistered vehicle, use license plate on wrong vehicle and operate a vehicle with out a supervising driver. His first court appearance is in Rosetown on August 27, 2020. The passenger of the vehicle was arrested on a Saskatoon warrant due to breaching a probation order and is to appear in Saskatoon Court.

On May 8th, Rosetown RCMP responded to a call of loitering. Two individuals refused to leave a business in Rosetown, and upon attendance of the RCMP the matter was mediated and the
individuals left without further incident.

On May 10th, Rosetown RCMP were called to perform a welfare check on a Rosetown resident
due to concern of family. Attendance revealed all was well and no further action was required. RCMP members also received a call of harassment on May 10th, and no criminal offense was determined after speaking to the involved parties.

On May 12th, Rosetown RCMP received a call regarding a sexual assault, and that matter is currently under investigation. On the same day, Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of child pornography. Images were found on a stolen computer belonging to a Rosetown resident, that was located at a Saskatoon residence after a search warrant was executed on a previous date. The computer was returned to the rightful owner, who after inspection of it, found the images and reported them to the RCMP. The matter is still under investigation with the assistance of the RCMP ICE Unit.

On May 13th, Rosetown RCMP were called to a rural unoccupied property, where doors were
found open on the buildings and a vehicle parked left on the property. It appeared that an unknown
individual was on the property. RCMP wishes to remind everyone to avoid leaving anything of value on abandoned or unoccupied properties and having someone regularly checking those properties if the owner is out of the area.
