The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association says they're having trouble finding suitable homes for kids in need, and they're looking for your help. "We're always looking for new families that are looking to respond to help families that are in need," said Sask Foster Families Executive Director, Deb Davies. "We have about 500 foster families right across the province. But we're always looking to add more homes," Davies added.

Davies goes on to say that the process to become a foster family isn't that complicated but there are a number of boxes that need to be checked off. "We'll look into anyone that is interested in fostering. There is a criminal records check, training that's required and a few other smaller things." She says applicants will then be referred to the Ministry of Social Services.

Marj Lawrence's family became a foster family after noticing that there were alot of families in Moose Jaw that looked like they could use some help. Marj and her husband Greg have now been fostering kids for 25-years. "It's one of the hardest but most rewarding experiences you can have," said Marj Lawrence.  "We just want to give those kids a safe and stable place for them to live. They definitely become part of your family."
