No extensive list on the Rosetown RCMP Report for May 22-28, but members did respond to a semi rollover west of Sovereign, a report of a missing child, and a reported fuel theft.

WestCentralOnline helped report the news that a fuel tanker rolled over on Highway 15 West of Sovereign, and reported the highway back open as of 5pm. The report from the Rosetown RCMP:

2020-05-25 at 06:25hrs – Rosetown RCMP were dispatched to semi rollover approximately 3 kms west of Sovereign on Highway 15. The semi was hauling two (2) fuel trailers with approximately 50,000 litres of diesel. A significant portion of the fuel was spilled as a result of the rollover. The driver was ejected from semi during the rollover but was very fortunate to walk away with only minor injuries. Rosetown Fire Department greatly assisted with scene safety and traffic control. Highway 15 was closed for approximately 8 hours for the investigation and initial scene cleanup. An environmental company worked for several days after to ensure all the fuel had all been reclaimed. Alcohol is not suspected to be involved. The matter is still under investigation.

At noon the same day, members received a complaint of a missing three (3) year old boy in Sovereign. Police were on route to the boys last known location, when they were notified the boy returned to his parents unharmed.

Rosetown RCMP were contacted by a farmer in the RM of Mountain View on the suspicion of a fuel theft. Shortly after receiving the call, RCMP were updated that the fuel gauge of the truck was actually broken and that no fuel had been stolen.

On the night of May 26th, Rosetown RCMP received a call from the Rose Villa care home requesting
assistance in locating an elderly man who had wandered away from the building. After a brief search, the male was located unharmed.

Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers are requesting help on the case of a stolen vehicle from Harris: Rosetown RCMP needs help to locate a a 2010 Red Buick Enclave that was stolen from a residence in Harris, SK sometime over the night of May 18-19, 2020.The vehicle had Saskatchewan licence plate 116 LGP at the time it was stolen.

During the period of May 22-28, officers dealt with five (5) 911 mis-dials, two (2) mental
health related calls, one (1) wildlife related motor vehicle collision, performed three (3) check stops and issued 25 Traffic Safety Act charges.
