The town of Wilkie held a comedy night fundraiser over the weekend in effort to start raising money for a new pool.

Recreation Director, Lori Fenrich said, " We are looking at the future of needing to build a new pool. That's what we are starting to fund raise for. As of right now there are no particular plans in place."

When asked about the fundraiser Fenrich said, " We had three comedians come out. James Moore, Shawn Gramaik and Kevin Stobo." Each comedian brought to the stage their own style of comedic humor, making the night enjoyable for all in attendance.

During the event guest where treated to hot appetizers and then were invited to stay for an evening social after the performances where over.

Fenrich added, "We are in the very very earlier stages of planning for the pool. Fundraising will go a continual thing, with the next event most likely taking place in the fall."
