Local officers responded to multiple calls of assault last week, including a domestic violence call which resulted in a male receiving several charges.

According to the report of calls for service, Eston RCMP received a call from a female stating her spouse was being violent. After police arrived and assessed the situation, the male in question was charged with assault, two counts of uttering threats, obstruction and assault of a police officer.

Three additional assault calls were made last week between the Kindersley, Kerrobert and Eston RCMP.

In Kindersley, on male was charged with assault after RCMP received a call of a dispute between a male and female. In the RM of Snipe Lake another male was charged with assault, the report states he was assaulting another male as he tried to remove him from his vehicle. Additionally, in the RM of Mariposa, a dispute between father and son prompted a call to the RCMP, however, no charges are laid at this time.

For the week ending May 12, 2019, officers also issued 14 speeding tickets and two warnings, four false alarms and three traffic collisions, the full report is as follows:

REPORT OF IMPAIRED DRIVER – RM of Kindersley – call of an impaired truck driver on a well site. Because of time delay receiving the call, no charges laid at this time.THEFT UNDER $5000 – RM of Milton – report of welder stolen. Investigation revealed the call to be unfounded.

THEFT OF OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE x 2 – RM of Kindersley – ATV reported stolen from a rural building, SUI; RM of Kindersley – report of truck stolen. Investigation revealed that no theft had taken place.
