Rosetown’s Age Friendly Committee was established in 2016. It is a volunteer committee that was formed in order to assess what makes the community a great place for people of all ages to live as well as what can make the lives of seniors safer and more fulfilling.

The Age Friendly Committee along with Rosetown District Health Centre, held a ‘toast to seniors’ breakfast on October 16th. This annual event has been taking place for a number of years and was held in conjunction with Saskatchewan Senior’s Week.

Senior’s Week, is a special week that encourages all of us to come together to recognize how important seniors are every day in every community.

Over 50 community members flocked to the Seniors Centre in Rosetown for a treat of mimosas, eggs and of course-toast, hence the name. There were all variety of jams, jellies and toppings from which guests could choose to top their toast.

Some guests were lucky enough to walk away with draw prizes as well as full bellies.
