The Town of Eston will be holding a special parade for residents of the west central community at 6:30 pm December 15, Mayor Glen Goheen talked to West Central Online about the special event.

“We decided when we couldn’t have Santa show up indoors to see the kids we would invite them to go in a light parade,” Mayor Goheen said.

“We put it out there to see what would happen, we got nearly 30 floats booked so far for it. It’s going to be held down Main Street, catch all the avenues, just put a little spirit in the air is the main idea of the thing,” Mayor Goheen added.

As for Town matters, Mayor Goheen is pleased with the direction the town council is going into 2021.

"Things are looking good, the council is a great bunch, all with lots of good ideas, most have been around the community all their lives, so Eston is their world. I have lots of optimism in where we are going," Mr. Goheen told West Central Online.

Mr. Goheen also wished everyone in Eston and area a very Merry Christmas and safe New Year.
