The following information was provided by the Unity RCMP detachment:
Unity RCMP have charged 31-year-old Travis Randy Stehr with several Criminal Offenses.
Stehr, formerly of the Biggar District, was arrested by the Biggar, Unity and Kindersley RCMP near Landis on June 18th after fleeing the Biggar and Kindersley RCMP in a vehicle stolen from Camrose, Alberta on June 14th.
Stehr was charged by the Unity RCMP with 3 counts of Theft under $5,000 and Possession of a stolen vehicle on June 8th, 2018 after a customer at a local Macklin business reported cells phones and documents were stolen from a parked vehicle while the operator was inside the business. The vehicle being operated by Stehr at the time of this incident had been stolen from Amisk, Alberta on May 21st.
Stehr was also charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking to a Justice for being in the seat of a Motor Vehicle, and for failing to Keep the Peace and be of good behaviour.
