The Kindersley Jr. Klippers finally got on the scoresheet Wednesday night in Yorkton, but could not hold the lead on the desperate Yorkton Terriers squad. Yorkton now only has five games remaining on the season and are just four points out of playoff spot with the win.

Kindersley once again was outplayed in many parts of the game, but actually managed to take a 2-1 lead into the final period, thanks to defenders Russ Demo and Nathan DeGraves scoring late in the period, as DeGraves goal came with just one second remaining.

Kindersley built a two-goal lead just 31 seconds into the third as Cam Perlinger lit the lamp for his seventh of the season, brother Cobe and Simon Diaz picked up the assists.

Then after a Brock Evans roughing call, the Terriers went to work on the man advantage and scored right away, with David Coyle getting his 23rd of the season for the east-central Saskatchewan dogs to get the team within one at 3-2.

Then with the extra man once again, the Klippers could not survive the push and leading point getter for the Terriers Jaron Desnoyers got his 17th to send the game into overtime.

The 3-on-3 overtime did not take long as Jeff Hammond got his 16th of the season and was the hero of the evening for Yorkton as they won the game 4-3.

Kindersley will definitely put this point in their pocket, as they were outshot 40-22 in this game, and if it wasn't for the stellar play of netminder Cody Jaman, this game could have been a runaway for the Terriers.

Kindersley will take Thursday off to regroup, before they head back to the CN Community Centre for a date with the moneymen from Melville. Revenge will be on the minds of Kindersley, as they fell 1-0 to the blue and white back on Tuesday. Puck drop at the Bank is 7:00 pm Friday.
