Another weekend of Sask First Hockey is here. After the Sask First U16 narrowed things down to their Top 40 last week, it's now time for both the male and female U18 tournament as a total of 8 players with west-central connections will be on the ice.

The male tournament is running out of Regina, and has five West Central Wheat Kings on the list. Jaden Blanchette, Kaegan Lowe, Austin Schafer, Kaden Sperle, and Chase Weinkauf will all be on the ice for the tournament as part of the north roster.

The female tournament is taking place in Balgonie. Western Prairie Female Hockey's Dani Larson will represent the club, with Western Prairie area natives Cambree Legge and Madden Rublee also on the ice. After this weekend the female rosters will be cut down to the Top 32, where official Team Saskatchewan preparations will get underway beginning June 8.

Check out further tournament information in the link below. WestCentralOnline will have updates following the cuts next week.
