The 6 man 2A football season for one team in the West Central region is over and for the other they will keep on playing in provincials this weekend. The Kindersley Kobras and Rosetown Royals played in wet, cold conditions to see who would be moving on. In a closely contested game regulation wasn’t enough as both teams battled to 38-38 tie after 4 quarters. The Kobras got the ball first and couldn’t capitalize as they missed a field goal as Rosetown conceded a single point. The Royals then got the ball and only had to make a field goal to win the game and they did just that splitting the uprights and taking the game 41-39. Rosetown now moves on in provincial playoffs and will play Watrous on Saturday afternoon out in Watrous at 2 pm.

The Unity Warriors will be in the mix for the provincial playoffs as well as they will be hosting Wynyard on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm up in Unity. Unity finished the regular season undefeated at 6-0 to earn home field advantage in the first round.
