Delisle Chiefs

The Delisle Chiefs remain unbeaten in the PJHL early on this season. The Chiefs sit with a 6-0 mark after 2 wins this past weekend. The Chiefs first headed into Saskatoon to play the number 1 team in the league the Saskatoon Quakers. In a close game that saw the teams head into the third period tied at 3 the Chiefs scored three goals in the third to win 6-3. The Chiefs then headed home to play the Prince Albert Titans on Saturday night and after coughing up a 2-0 lead Delisle won the game in overtime with a goal by Jaden Shewchuk 3-2. Austin Linnen and Plenty native Chad Westman lead the team with 12 points each in the six games played so far.

West Central Rage

The West Central Rage played this past weekend as well losing to the Triple Seven Chrysler Storm 6-2 on Friday night in Kerrobert. That was their only game of the weekend and they are set for a busy stretch coming up with 3 games in 4 days. First up for the Rage are the Saskatoon Westleys on Thursday in Saskatoon and then the Southern Rebels Saturday night at home in Kerrobert at 7:30 pm and finally on Sunday afternoon against the Saskatoon Royals in Kerrobert as well at 3 pm. The Rage sit at 2-6-1 after nine games this year and will try to get back on track starting on Thursday. Blake Fennig leads the team in scoring with 12 points in 8 games for the young West Central team this season that includes 13 rookies and 3 affiliates that have played already this year.
