Hi-Way 14 Hockey League update for January 24, 2024

A full weekend of Hi-Way 14 Hockey League action took place from January 19-21, and lots of teams were on the ice. Starting with U13, the Unity Lazers remain unbeaten at 12-0-1 after beating Rosetown Kampen 7-2 Saturday and tying Leader 4-4 Sunday. The Lazers continue to lead the north division with that record, while Kindersley leads the south division with a 13-2 record after a win over Rosetown Spier 5-4 Saturday and a loss to Eston White 9-5 Sunday. And wrapping up with the leading scorers, Kindersley's Kohen Henry continues to lead the way with 41 goals and 21 assists for 61 points in 15 games played.

Looking at U15, it was busy weekend as well, with 9 games in all. The league leading Unity Lazers defeated Kindersley #2 Sunday night on the road to up their record to 15-2. And Kindersley #2 knocked off KDL 7-4 during Dodsland Minor Hockey Weekend. Here are the rest of the scores from this past week. 

As for this week, there were two games last night in U15, including the KDL Tigers hosting Unity at 6:00 pm in Kerrobert and the Outlook Ice Hawks at home versus Rosetown at 6:30 pm.

Looking at the leading scorers in U15, the Prairie Predators Jayce Fick leads the way with 29 goals and 51 points. Right behind him is Kindersley #2's Dayson Kosolofski with 28 goals and 29 points. Here is the top 10 as January 23.

And wrapping things up with U18, there were 8 games played last week. This included the U18 Klippers playing three games in three days. Friday's game was a 2-0 win over Outlook, Saturday's was a 5-5 tie versus Macklin, and Sunday's game was a 6-3 loss to Biggar/Wilkie. Here are the rest of the scores from last weekend. 

Despite being shut out by Kindersley on Friday, Outlook bounced back with victories on Saturday and Sunday as they had a busy weekend as well. With the wins, Outlook has jumped their record to 13-3, which leads the league. KDL is second with an 11-4-2 record. And ending of with the leading scorers in U18, Outlook's Reed McLachlan continues to lead the league in scoring with 35 goals and 53 points. His teammates Will Campbell and Kolby Gibson round up the top three in scoring. Here is the top 10 as of January 23.
