The Fertile Valley Baseball League is three weeks into the season, and teams are starting to separate from one another in the standings.

Last season, the Rosetown Angels won their 5th championship in six seasons by defeating the Kindersley Raiders, the runner-up champions.

This season could be leaning toward another re-match in the finals as both teams have has success early in the season The Rosetown Angels have an impressive 5-0 record through the first 3 weeks of the year and have made quick work of their opponents. The Kindersley Raiders also have gotten off to a hot start this season with a 3-1 record.

Another team that has been impressive to start the season off is the brand new team from Kindersley. The Kindersley Stallions are making their debut season and were victorious in their first four games of the season, and took down the Kindersley Raiders in their latest contest. The Stallions are knocking on the doorstep of the defending champions in Rosetown, and could punch their ticket in the championship this year.

Some teams have gotten off to a slow start and are still looking to win their first game of the season. The Kyle Yellow Jackets and Eatonia Wheat Kings have had a tough schedule, but are feeling optimistic heading into the second half of the season, and are still confident they can squeeze into a final playoff spot.
