It's a big game for Team Canada at the IIHF World Juniors today as they faceoff against their archrivals -- the United States of America.

What's exceptionally awesome about this matchup is that the Canadians and Americans will play outdoors!

Tournament officials had a chance to check the ice at New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York and have given the thumbs up for this game to be played outside. The temperature at Orchard Park/Buffalo this afternoon will be -10°C.

Obviously it's considered as home ice advantage for Team U.S.A., but don't be surprised to see a lot of fans in red at the stadium this afternoon.

The last time these two nations squared off at the World Juniors, it was an unfortunate shootout loss for Canada in the gold medal game in front of the home fans. So, it's safe to say Canada will be fueled for revenge in today's tilt.

Puck drop is at 2:00 PM Saskatchewan time. We salute the fans who will be braving the "cold" in the stands at the game today.

As for us in west central Saskatchewan, we have a reason to avoid the actual cold outside. Enjoy today's game from the comfort of your own warm, cozy home and CHEER LOUD FOR CANADA!
