The Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation announced further job action on Monday morning, another one-day rotating withdrawal of noon-hour supervision coming on Thursday, March 14.While once again it won't affect any schools locally (list available HERE), it brings both the Sun West Teachers' Association and Tri-West Teachers' Association closer to it's next rotating dates.

Both the Sun West School Division and Living Sky School Division posted comprehensive lists of job action for the week. At the time of this writing, no job action has been announced yet for Friday.

Withdrawal of noon-hour supervision means STF members will not be available to supervise students who are eating lunch at school or taking part in noon-hour activities. Although teachers, including principals and vice-principals, often provide lunch break supervision, it is done on a voluntary basis. Student supervision is the responsibility of the school division and supervisors are not required to be teachers.

The news was announced as another rotating strike for supervision was active on Monday, and students province-wide are barred from extracurricular activities for Monday through Wednesday.

The STF once again announced the sanctions ahead of the required 48 hours of notice. Read Friday's announcement regarding the start of this week in the related articles section below.
