In the second game of back to back, the Kindersley Jr. Klippers and Estevan Bruins took the ice at Affinity Place Wednesday night. Kindersley once again came out strong, and this time were rewarded, as Adam Paplawski put in a rebound for his seventh of the season, off of a Danton Cox shot on the powerplay to give them the early lead.

The Klippers continued their strong road period, and had some chances, but Jackson Miller made a couple of nice saves to keep it a one goal spread.

The second saw Kindersley continuing to press early on, but at the halfway point, a shot from the point by Jag Phangura hit Estevan leading scorer Kade Runke's stick and found its way past Cody Jaman to tie the score.

Estevan took over from that point on, putting relentless pressure on the Klippers. Then as the period was winding down, Garett Zasitko dug the puck out of the corner, got some help from linemate Daniel O'Neill, centered it front to Sal Collora, and he beat a Jaman with just 0.6 seconds on the clock to give the Bruins the lead after two.

This was a back breaking goal for Kindersley, as the Bruins doubled their lead early in the third period, as Collora got his second of the night and sixth of the season. The Klippers did fight back, literally, as Adam Paplawski came to the defense of Logan Linklater, as he was boarded by Sam McPeak. The two dropped the gloves and went toe to toe, for one of the better fights in the SJHL this season.

After Linklater took a penalty just after the dust up, he came out of the penalty box, and joined Aidan Bangs and Matthew Mazzocchi on a 3-on-1. Maz finished the nice passing play for his ninth of the season, to get Kindersley within one.

That is as close as the Klippers would get, as Mitch Kohner stole the puck from Linklater and beat Jaman to regain the two goal advantage.

Cody Jaman continued his spectacular goaltending in this one, and if it wasn't for him, it could have easily been a lot worse for Kindersley. The Jr. Klippers will look to salvage the last game of their southeastern road trip, as they are in Weyburn Friday night.

Country 104 will have the call, with the Murlin Electronics pregame show beginning at 6:45 pm from Crescent Point Place.
