The Kindersley Sr. Klippers finished off the Unity Miners last Fridat night with a come from behind victory in the first round of the SWHL playoffs.

The Klippers fell behind 3-1 and 4-3 in the third period and managed to come back both times and got the winning goal from Kyle Donaldson with just under two minutes left. Kindersley leading scorer Shayne Neigum iced the game late in the third with his second of the night, and the Klippers won 6-4.

Macklin continued their dominance against the Sr. Klippers at home this season, defeating them for a second tine at the WCEC. The Mohawks got off to a fast start, scoring just under a minute into the game, and lead 3-0 after 1.

Macklin padded its lead to 6-0 after the second as things got chippy half way through the period with Rhys Kipling dropping the gloves and fighting at the 12:56 mark with a slew of penalties to follow.

The Klippers could not recover from the slow start as Macklin was better at every facet of the game, including passing and work ethic, with a little luck mixed in. The Mohawks won 8-0 to take a 1-0 lead in the best of 5 series.
