The Kindersley Sr. Klippers were up in Macklin for game 2 of their SWHL semi final series against the Mohawks.

Kindersley fell behind early 2-0 and 3-1 and could never really battle back.

The game did not go without some controversy, however, as the Klippers first goal appeared to be kicked in, but it was counted, and the officials missed a high stick on Tate Page, and it ended up costing Kindersley a goal scored by Mohawks defenseman Alex Cheveldave.

The Klippers fell behind 5-1 on an early goal by Jared Hillis, but managed to get a goal back on a power play by Preston Kopeck. But a costly giveaway by Luke Sproule cost the team the sixth goal and that’s all Macklin needed. The final score ended up 6-3 for the Mohawks.

Game 3 is set for the WCEC this Friday at 8pm.
