The Sr. Klippers were in Wilkie last night to play the first place Outlaws, with a chance to tie them for tops in the standings.

In the battle between two of the premier teams in the league, the Sr. Klippers were able to come out on top 4-2.  With the win, the Klippers will have a chance to ensure the second seed with a win against Edam on Saturday, in their last regular season game.

Other West Central teams will be taking the ice this week to finish off their season, and solidify the rest of the league playoff schedule.

The Eatonia Huskies still possess a very slim chance of making the playoffs, as the Biggar Nationals and Kerrobert Tigers stand in their way with an easier path for making it as a lower seed.

The Edam 3 Stars and Hafford Hawks have impressed in their inaugural SWHL season, sitting in the third and fifth spots respectively heading into the last week of play. Their level of play has allowed them to keep pace with perennial league powerhouses Kindersley, Wilkie and Macklin, adding a good bit of intrigue to the 2019-2020 season.

Draws for the SHA provincials have also been announced, as eleven teams from the area will be competing in 3 separate divisions when the competition begins. Rosetown (SVHL) will join 4 Sask West teams in the C division finals, while Kindersley, Wilkie and Outlook (SVHL) all represent the B division. Its all SWHL teams on the D side, with Kerrobert and Luseland, as well as Macklin taking on a top ranked Kyle team from the SVHL.
