The Kindersley Jr. Klippers and Battlefords North Stars tangled for the second straight game, this time on Kindersley ice. Kian Bell got his league leading 30th of the season about halfway through the opening period, with the assists going to linemates Holden Doell and Jake Southgate. Kindersley hit a couple of posts in the first period but could not beat Josh Kotai.

The second saw the best push by the Klippers, but they could not beat Kotai, as he made a couple of splendid saves to keep it 1-0. The Battlefords then doubled their lead on a scramble in front of Klippers netminder Cody Jaman. Holden Doell put the puck in the net for his 18th of the season, with the helpers going to Zane Florence and Riley Girod. The Stars added to their lead late in the second, as Keiton Klein continued his mastery over Kindersley, with his sixth goal in four games against the Klippers.

The third was much of the same, as Emmett Wurst got his fourth of the season after a nice rush by Stars defenseman Jordan Grill. Kindersley broke the goose egg on their side of the scoreboard, with Brock Evans getting his fourth of the season just over the halfway point of the period.

Then just over two minutes later, Stars sniper Kian Bell got one of the nicest goals of the season, as he broke through the two Kindersley defenseman and deked out Jaman to get his second of the game and 31st of the season. This goal also matched the number of wins the North Stars have without a regulation defeat (31-0-2-1).

Kindersley has now been beaten by the Battlefords 5-1 three out of the four games they've played this season. The Klippers will face the Bombers in back-to-back games next weekend at the WCEC, beginning at 7:30 pm on January 13.
