Most of the residents at Eatonia Oasis Living were painting when we arrived looking to do some Random Acts of Kindness. News anchor Cooper Douglas and morning show host Devin Brown visited all the residents in the personal care home. In addition to the residents pictured below, we chatted with Lloyd Adams, Rec co-ordinator Mandy Lavalee, and Administartor Cora Knutilla.
After painting Devin and Cooper went around the care home and visited with each and every resident hoping to brighten their day and learn more about their background.
Many residents come from a farming background. They were doing crosswrod puzzles, watching the Scotties curling championship, and talking on the phone with long distance relatives. We presented the "hello" sign from Hill Acme Machine to the staff and residents of Eatonia Oasis Living as we were leaving.
There was a lot of positive energy around the centre, and we were both extremely happy with the reception from the residents and staff.
