May 18th is International Museum Day and with that West Central Online thought it'd be a good time to check in with the latest happenings at the Rosetown Museum.

The school and church displays have been moved into the Cherry Hill School, an old country school the museum moved onsite over the last couple of years. The previous school and church display places have been filled with redesigned Kings and Graham Bros. store displays. The museum's automobile display changes each year and the new vehicle is due in soon. Also new this year is a restored farm tractor on display. The lobby and boardroom were cleaned and repainted.

On Tuesday May 24th our summer student returns and we will be open weekdays until late August.

On June 12th we will have concert in the lobby. The museum will be open that afternoon for people to see the museum then there will be burgers and fries for sale before the concert. There will be some active displays in the yard that afternoon as well. A blacksmith and rope maker are committed so far.

That same weekend will mark the beginning of the season for the tea house. The tea house will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday until late August serving their usual pies cookies and refreshments.

The Rosetown Museum also would like to invite anyone with an interest in Rosetown history to join our volunteer team.
